We started over four years ago, under the name DramaFree Photography, as a small forum that was dedicated to professional photographers who were in business (full or part time) and who needed a closed forum to discuss business related issues with like minded individuals.

Now that resource has grown into a place where all client and business issues can be discussed and we have become the International Professional Photographers’ Network, together with all members sharing their experiences of business and what has helped them succeed.

Members are able to draw on a wealth of knowledge covering all areas of a photographer’s business and also gain valuable technical information on skills to keep them at the top of their game. Not only equipment related information but more and more the dark arts of SEO and website optimisation, together with all things related to social networking. Couple this with the many posts on tips that are tried and tested and which help profit margins, and the forum becomes a very valuable resource.

To apply for membership you must be in business but can be either full time or part time – we do not believe that just because someone isn’t full time it necessarily means they operate their business to any less a standard than a person whose sole income is from photography. Applications for membership, once submitted, are considered by a board of other members with a proven track record of excellence. Acceptance isn’t guaranteed.  We place as much emphasis on business as we do on photographic ability, meaning that all approved members are following the same high standards regardless of how long they have been in business or of their position in the marketplace.

Applying and being accepted for membership indicates that you fulfil all necessary legal requirements for your particular country with regard to business and tax registration. Members are expected to promote best practice at all times in their dealings with clients, suppliers and other members. All members operate their business to the highest standards and all are focused on providing the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction and are fully insured to protect their clients.

Our ranks have remained small with members paying a modest monthly subscription and thus keeping this a tightly knit network of like minded professionals who WANT to help each other succeed in business and who don’t view every other person as a commercial threat. Suppliers have recognised that members are truly serious about their businesses and we have a great selection of meaningful member only discounts, which can save even the smallest business £100′s per year.
